In this newsletter, we invite you to complete a brief survey about your current needs, update you on the availability of animal strains, and provide access to the recording of our joint JAX & Ozgene ARC webinar in case you were unable to attend.

Let us know your needs

Are there any strains you’re currently unable to order due to limited availability on the portal? We encourage you to take a moment to complete our survey. Your feedback is vital in helping us ensure that our colonies are optimally sized to meet your needs. We can also offer breeding on request to fulfill your orders, and you can indicate any additional strains or services you require.

Animal availability update

The animal tiers were fully implemented in August, and the remaining pre-allocations have been activated, except for CBH nude rats, where stable numbers are still being established. We’re happy to report that the C57BL/6 numbers have been steadily increasing and now seem to meet demand. However, if you need more, please let us know in the survey so we can continue to optimise the colony size. NSG, BALB/c, and BALB/c nude colonies are also expanding to accommodate growing demand.

Please note that some colonies, even in Tier 1, may be maintained at a lower level than you require, which could necessitate breeding specifically for your order. In addition to our brief survey above, we encourage you to use the “submit feedback” button on the ordering portal to let us know whenever you encounter any shortages or have feedback on our services.

The session also featured an overview of Ozgene ARC’s immunodeficient strains and humanisation services, along with an insightful Q&A session.
